Some publications and LGBTQ+ personalities have defended Swift. Emma Grey Ellis from Wired wrote "the song has spawned more opinions than it has words", and continued "people claimed to despise Swift's lack of politics, and now she is overtly political and they still hate it."[61] De Elizabeth from InStyle opined "a lack of outright activism allowed Swift to become a punching bag".[62] Actor Brian Jordan Alvarez praised the video in an interview with IndieWire, stating that he is "completely grateful anytime anyone, especially someone with a huge platform, expresses positivity, love, and support for the LGBTQ community."[51] Actor Billy Eichner praised Swift's activism, saying "[the LGBT community needs] all the allies we can get."[63] Fashion designer and television personality Tan France, who appeared in the video, called Swift a "powerful ally" and remarked that while LGBT people are often encouraged to take their time to come out, the same is not extended to allies.[64]

Overall, "Delicate" peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending a total of 35 weeks on the chart, becoming the longest-charting single from Reputation.[73] The single was one of the 10 most successful songs on US airplay of 2018, culminating 2.509 billion radio audience impressions.[74][note 2] It was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which denotes two million units consisted of sales and on-demand streaming.[76] Philip Cosores from Uproxx claimed that the single was Reputation's biggest hit, surpassing the Hot 100 number one "Look What You Made Me Do", which "found a place in cultural ubiquity, but ... felt more like an obligation than an outright choice".[77] Writing for Billboard, Andrew Unterberger described the US chart success of "Delicate" as a "turnaround in momentum" for Swift during the Reputation era. While the preceding singles did not chart more than 20 weeks, "Delicate" continued to grow, especially in airplay, and got "bigger the longer audiences have spent with it". Unterberger attributed the single's success to its vulnerable sentiment and production, a departure from the "outwardly vindictive" sentiments of its preceding singles, which proved that "[the audience] too still like Taylor for Taylor".[66]

As we've explained many times at Eat This, Not That!, walking is an excellent way to keep fit and even lose weight. In fact, according to a study published in the Journal of Exercise Nutrition & Biochemistry, researchers found that walking regularly was especially effective at targeting and reducing belly fat in obese women while also helping improve the body's insulin response. What's more, according to the Mayo Clinic, walking can help "prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and type-2 diabetes." One fascinating new study published in the journal Scientific Reports even found that major byproducts of walking more include enhanced creativity and overall happiness.

With every release of OpenShot we strive to provide stability and performance improvements. This release is no different, and I am happy to report some very big improvements on performance, especially related to threading and CPU usage. Some threads were removed, after testing a single threaded version which was much higher performing. Our performance is very similar to raw FFmpeg in many cases, which is amazing considering how many additional capabilities that OpenShot adds. Another big change is our color format (used internally) has changed from RGBA8888 to RGBA8888_Premultiplied, where our alpha channel is premultiplied into our color data. This makes certain types of compositing/painting much faster and requires less CPU per pixel.

The song draws its power from extravagant instrumentation (especially the flute in the intro) and a campy '80s sample ("Let's get physical!" should not work as the main lyric in a modern pop song, and yet, it does). So it only makes sense for the video to be surreal, flashy, drenched in color, and incredibly entertaining.

A second source added: "Kim and Pete like each other. They are trying to play it off that they are just friends, but it's a little more than that right now. They're having a lot of fun together. Pete makes Kim laugh and makes her feel special. Pete is obviously thrilled and has a major crush on Kim." 2ff7e9595c
